The Yurok's main foods were acorns and fish, mostly salmon. Yurok's houses were made out of redwood planks split from logs. They squared poles and tied them together with grapevines. The door was a round hole. The villages were either along the Klamath River or on the shore of the oceans. Though they lived in groups of villages they had no government. The Yurok people brought pots to their weddings and they were valuable presents. If they weren't married they would not be able to see each other until the wedding. The Yurok Indians made interesting pots. The names of the pots are snake nose, spread hand and partial flint. They had interesting houses and games.
