They ate acorns, pine nuts, berries, seeds, roots, fish,
deer, elk, bear, small game, and waterfowl. The Indians made
storehouses called granaries for the acorns. Here acorns
would be safe from rodents and birds. They traded using
clamshell beads, but magnesite was more valuable. Their
skirts and leggings were made from deer skins.They are made
on a frame of poles from a willow around a hole dug in the
ground.
