Coast Miwok

They ate acorns, pine nuts, berries, seeds, roots, fish, deer, elk, bear, small game, and waterfowl. The Indians made storehouses called granaries for the acorns. Here acorns would be safe from rodents and birds. They traded using clamshell beads, but magnesite was more valuable. Their skirts and leggings were made from deer skins. They are made on a frame of poles from a willow around a hole dug in the ground.
