|
The Salinans lived on the central coast region of California. Their life was natural. The Salinan life style was about looking for animals and plants. They lived near Santa Barbara. At the mission the Indians dried large amounts of adobe bricks. The padres taught the Indians to work hard. They had to listen to the padres. The mission was taken over in 1836 by the Mexican government. Now the mission has been restored and many tourists come to see it every year. |
