Room 31's Study of theMission San Fernando Rey de España |
|
The tribe of my mission was Chumash. The tribe was on the central coast of California. Their life style before coming to the mission was hunting. The work that the Indians did at the mission was that they built adobe houses and worked in the field. The padres at the mission taught them to speak Spanish. The padres did some good things. In 1834 Mission San Fernando Rey closed down and the Mexican government controlled it. Tourists visit the mission today. |
