Who I am…

 

 My name is Shane. I am from Chicago in America. I graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. There my major was English with a minor in Cinema Studies. I have always had an interest in Japan and its history, culture, language and people. After graduation I decided the best way to improve my Japanese skills was to come over here in the JET program and teach English while getting to see all of the above first-hand. This page has pictures for family and friends and whoever else might stumble across this website showing the experiences I am having over here.

 

 

私の名前はダンクル·シェーンです。私はアメリカ人です。私の出身はシカゴです。イリノイ大学を卒業しました。大学で専攻は英語と映画でした。私は日本文化とか日本語とか日本の歴史に興味があります。卒業のあとで日本に引っ越しました。このポームページは私のいろいろな日本の写真があります。（ごめんなさい！私の日本語が上手じゃありませんよ）

What I am doing here…

 

  I am an assistant language teacher at Tsu Senior High School. Currently I team teach with 4 different Japanese English teachers in all 10 1st year classes. This was all done through the JET program, a popular 1 to 3 year program for teaching and living in Japan.

 

 私は津高校で外国語指導助手です。現在では、一年生の全クラスが４人の日本人先生の英語先生一緒にチームティーチングをしっています。 JETプログラムはこんなことに許させます。 (Ouch! That last sentence is bad! *_* )
