The curriculum is entirely standards-based, technology-integrated, student-centered and meaningful in content. While students work on learning modules in collaborative groups, I serve as facilitator and am able to work with individuals and small, ability-based groups, in order to better meet the needs of each individual child. Parents are always welcome in the classroom and encouraged to visit your child! We are partners in the education of your child and your participation in this process is so beneficial. Every student in the class was given my home telephone number. Students and parents are encouraged contact me at school or at home. Lesson plans are always posted on the wall in the back of the classroom. Please stop by and take a look at our weekly overview and detailed daily plans, which highlight the standards being taught and our daily learning objectives. I am very excited about this school year and look forward to establishing a wonderful relationship with you all. During the November conference time, I'd like to meet with all parents again, in order to review the goals set in September/October. Conferences can be held in person or by telephone. We also have a monthly parent potluck, which gives you an opportunity to come into the classroom and see all of the exciting things your child is learning. It is normally held on the last Friday of each month, but varies a bit with holiday months.
