For those of you who may not know, and a friendly reminder for those of you who do...

The Robotech Chat Room is back! Starting this Thursday, August 10, there will be a Robotech Chat room every Thursday night. The room will open at 9pm EST each week and run for as long as people are willing to hang out.

TO FIND THE ROBOTECH CHAT ROOM, click on "People Connection." This will put you in the Lobby. From there click on the "Rooms" Icon. This will give you a list of the "Public Rooms." From there click on "Available Rooms" (or "Member Rooms.") You can now either scroll down the list of room names until you find the "Robotech" room, or you can go directly to the room by clicking on "Create Room" and typing in "Robotech" (Be sure to spell it right, though, or you'll find yourself in an empty room!).

A log of the Chat will be kept for those of you who can't make it but are interested in seeing what went on anyway.

A humble beginning, from a humble fan, with an effect that was far from humble.

That first e-mail, delivered to the boxes of many Robotech fans across AOL, started more than Fer could have dreamed. It started a phenomenon. What began as simply, the re-opening of the "defunct" Robotech chat room on AOL spawned one of the biggest explosions in on-line Robotech fandom ever. If not the biggest, most defenitly the first to actually get a foot hold on the community and grow beyond what his intentions were to begin with.
